Tali AI is a Canadian ambient scribe with a permanent free tier and paid plans from US $60 per provider monthly. Its billing agent files Ontario provincial claims only.

What You Need to Know About Tali AI

  • Tali AI runs a Canadian ambient scribe with a permanent free tier and paid plans from US $60 per provider per month billed annually. Starter is US $68 monthly.
  • The billing agent files Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) claims only. A separate feature suggests ICD codes, and no page names ICD-10-CM, CPT or evaluation and management levels.
  • Tali AI names four US EHR integrations: Net Health, Practice Fusion, Veradigm and Healthie. Eight of the twelve systems named across the site are Canadian.

What Is Tali AI, and Who Is It Built For?

Tali AI sells to Canadian clinics first and runs a separate US site. It publishes an ambient scribe alongside dictation, clinical decision support, form filling, task management and a billing agent.¹ Eight of the twelve EHR integrations it names are Canadian systems.²

Practice in the US and the scribe is the part you can use. You would not touch the billing agent, two thirds of the integration list covers systems you do not run, and the data residency language points two ways.

Tali AI publishes a permanent free tier, which much of this category does not. For a ranked view across the wider field, see the guide to the best AI medical scribes.

How Much Does Tali AI Cost?

Tali AI publishes four tiers, and the entry point is free rather than a trial. Personal costs nothing and needs no credit card. Starter is US $68 a month, or US $60 billed annually. Pro is US $100 a month for unlimited scribing, and Enterprise pricing is custom.

  • Personal: free, no credit card. 14 days of Pro, then 5 AI scribes and 60 minutes of dictation per month
  • Starter: US $68 per month, or US $60 per month billed annually. 40 AI scribes per month, unlimited dictation
  • Pro: $100 per month. Unlimited AI scribing and task management
  • Enterprise: custom pricing, contact sales

The free tier does not expire. Tali AI states that at the end of the 14-day Pro window a user either upgrades or "become[s] a free user."³ Every feature stays, at lower volume.³ Part-time accounts cost $80 per month, above the Starter rate.²

Session volume separates the tiers rather than features. Personal and Starter both cap how many scribe sessions you get, and unlimited scribing starts at Pro.² Category pricing across vendors is covered in the guide to AI scribe pricing.

What Does Tali AI Actually Do?

Tali AI runs an ambient scribe for in-person, virtual and phone visits, and pairs it with dictation and a clinical medical search tool.¹ Form filling is a named product rather than a side feature. Disability certificates, insurance papers and referrals come back pre-filled from the encounter.¹ Task management surfaces the follow-up actions a visit generates.¹

Language support is where two of the vendor's own pages disagree. The pricing page lists multilingual recording in 100 or more languages on every tier, including the free one.² The FAQ says the product "is currently supporting English, French and Spanish."³ A Persian beta runs on mobile, with Mandarin, Cantonese and Hindi on the roadmap.³ Confirm the language you need with the vendor rather than from the pricing page. Clinical medical search runs uncapped on all four tiers.²

Which EHRs Does Tali AI Support?

Tali AI names twelve EHR integrations, and four of them serve the United States: Net Health, Practice Fusion, Veradigm and Healthie.² The other eight are Canadian systems. If you run Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen or Cerner, no published integration covers you.

  • United States: Net Health, Practice Fusion, Veradigm, Healthie
  • Canada: Accuro, CHR, Healthquest, Med Access, Medesync, Oscar Pro, Profile, PS Suite

The US homepage lists its own set as "including" three names, so the published list may be incomplete.¹ Ask for the current one before you rule the product in or out. How write-back differs across vendors is covered in the guide to EHR integrations.

Does Tali AI Handle US Coding?

Tali AI suggests ICD codes without naming a US code set. The Billing Code Recommender reads the diagnoses and procedures you documented and offers codes for review, letting you choose ICD-9, ICD-10 or ICD-11.⁴ The separate billing agent is provincial, and the vendor's own page title says so: "OHIP Billing Agent for Ontario Clinics."⁵

The billing agent reads the visit alongside the patient's billing history, then recommends codes for review.⁵ Approved claims move into OHIP submission, and the agent reports back what was paid, rejected or needs follow-up.⁵ Family Health Organization (FHO+) workflows and remittance reconciliation are both named.⁵ ICD-10-CM, the US clinical modification, appears nowhere in that material, and neither do CPT or evaluation and management levels.⁵

Weigh Tali AI for revenue capture in a US practice and what you are weighing is an ICD suggestion feature attached to a scribe.

What Does the Evidence Behind Tali AI Show?

Tali AI publishes a System and Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) Type 2 certification, plus HIPAA and five further frameworks.⁶ Clinical performance is thinner. The accuracy figure above 95% is clinician-reported rather than measured, and the outcome percentages carry no test protocol or sample.¹

The security page names four Canadian frameworks alongside HIPAA.⁶ Those are the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).⁶ The other two are the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and the Health Information Act (HIA).⁶ It adds Quebec's Trousse globale de vérification (TGV) framework for digital health.⁶ Ask for the Privacy Impact Assessment and the penetration test report. The vendor supplies both on request.⁶

Retention is published in three places, and they do not agree. The vendor states that audio is streamed in real time for processing, "with no protected health information stored beyond the conversation."⁶ No data remains on the client side after transcription.⁶ The FAQ agrees, saying audio "is deleted as soon as the transcript is created."³

The US homepage states the opposite, that "both your notes and recordings are stored and processed securely within US."¹ Get the no-retention position confirmed in writing before you rely on it. Encryption covers data in transit and at rest, through Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) validated modules.²

The performance figures carry no methodology. Tali AI says that "clinicians report over 95% accuracy even in busy environments," which is clinician-reported rather than measured.¹ It adds a "top 1%" ranking it attributes to the US Veterans Affairs.¹ A further set of outcome percentages covers burnout, charting time, retention and patient engagement.¹ No test protocol, sample or methodology sits behind any of them.¹

The billing page headline reads "Get 60% more revenue opportunities."⁵ It traces to one named clinician's testimonial about their own visits rather than to a study.⁵

What Does Tali AI Not Publish?

No Business Associate Agreement (BAA) appears on Tali AI's pricing, product or security pages.⁶ The vendor publishes HIPAA compliance without publishing the agreement that usually accompanies it. As a covered entity you would ask for it directly, before any patient information moves through the product.

Tali AI names no US code set anywhere, because its billing agent addresses Ontario claims only.⁵

Tali AI states data residency two ways on its own pages. The US pricing page carries a row reading "Canadian data residency (all data stored in United States)," where the label and the parenthetical disagree.² The FAQ splits it instead: "Application data is stored in Canada for Canadian users, and in the US for users from other countries."³ Get the answer in writing if you have a residency requirement.

The pricing page calculator figures are outputs from default slider values rather than measured results.² The page recalculates them as you move the sliders.²

How Commure Scribe Compares on the Same Dimensions

The scribe product Commure sells is Commure Scribe, an ambient AI scribe used by 75,000+ clinicians across 25M+ patient encounters annually.

On integration and coding, the positions separate sharply. Commure Scribe carries 60+ EHR integrations, against the four US systems Tali AI names. Within seconds of the clinician clicking End Recording, Commure Scribe returns a structured SOAP note. Suggested ICD-10 and CPT codes sit in a separate tab for review.

Recording runs up to two hours continuously per session. AI Copilot handles documentation tasks generated from the encounter, such as prior authorization requests and work excuse letters. Commure Scribe is HIPAA compliant and SOC 2 certified with onshore data storage, and covers 25 specialties.

Two dimensions run the other way. Tali AI publishes a permanent free tier, while Commure Scribe offers a 7-day trial that expires. On retention the two publish different positions. Tali AI states that no PHI is stored beyond the conversation.

Commure Scribe stores and encrypts audio for one year active and then archives it. The archive period runs to a six-year minimum, with an expedited 14-day option. A user can permanently delete transcripts and notes at any time, and audio is never used for AI training or product improvement. A practice that wants no retained audio at all will prefer Tali AI's published position.

Two limits sit on the Commure Scribe side. At one to five providers, Commure Scribe moves the note by copy and paste through a Chrome extension overlay. Direct integration is reserved for higher tiers. Enterprise features such as advanced integrations and admin controls are gated to higher tiers as well. Tali AI gates its own seat management, analytics and custom retention policies to Enterprise.² Both products reserve administration for the larger plan.

Test a scribe against your own visits

A Tali AI review covers what the vendor publishes. Only a trial on your own visits shows how a note reads afterward. Current Commure Scribe terms are published under Commure Scribe pricing and plans.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Tali AI cost?

The Personal tier is free with no credit card. Starter is US $68 per month, or US $60 per month billed annually. Pro costs US $100 per month. Enterprise pricing is custom.

Is Tali AI free?

Yes, in part. The Personal tier is permanent rather than a trial. It includes 5 AI scribes and 60 minutes of dictation each month, after a 14-day Pro window. Tali AI states that a user who does not upgrade "become[s] a free user." Unlimited scribing starts at the Pro tier.

Does Tali AI suggest ICD-10 and CPT codes?

ICD, yes. CPT, not on any page reviewed. Tali AI publishes a Billing Code Recommender that suggests diagnostic and billing codes after the note. It lets the clinician choose ICD-9, ICD-10 or ICD-11. The separate billing agent is built for Ontario OHIP claims. ICD-10-CM and E/M levels are named nowhere, so a US practice should confirm coding coverage directly before buying.

Is Tali AI HIPAA compliant, and does it sign a BAA?

Tali AI states that it is HIPAA compliant and SOC 2 Type 2 certified. The same page lists PIPEDA, PIPA, PHIPA, HIA and Quebec TGV. Tali AI names no Business Associate Agreement on the pages reviewed, so ask for one directly.

Which EHRs does Tali AI integrate with?

Tali AI names four US systems: Net Health, Practice Fusion, Veradigm and Healthie. Eight Canadian systems are also named, including Accuro, Oscar Pro and PS Suite. The US homepage says "including," so confirm the current list with the vendor.
